The organizers seized the chance as well to reward two local volunteers, including talented football players from a local club who represented successfully the city of Deroua, and by extension Morocco, in a football event in France.

“The main goal of Deroua 6KM road running event is to discover emerging young athletes from the city, and promote the field of athletics,  dubbed the “mother of sports” in the city of Deroua,” Youssef told TMT.

The event also saw the participation of the BOOMTAC drumming band, among various other activities.
