Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Germany has moved to help international students studying in Europe’s industrial heart to help fight the ramifications of the financial crisis they have been affected by after losing their “students jobs”, including those whom their parents are suffering from the reverberations of the crisis in their respective countries, not being able to support their kids financially.

The Federal Education Ministry in Germany (BMBF) has announced that it will be providing financial assistance to students who have been affected by job losses.

5,297 Moroccan students in Germany will benefit from the aforementioned initiative.

This makes them the second-largest group of students from North Africa to benefit from the financial help after Egypt.

According to a tally compiled by Studying-in-Germany.org, 90% of international students in Germany said that the COVID-19 crisis affected them financially.
