Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Nabila Mounib, the Secretary-General of the Unified Socialist Party, spoke yesterday during the monthly Q&A session with the Prime Minister at the House of Representatives.

She discussed the economic challenges faced by wide segments of Moroccans, particularly the high cost of living and difficulties in obtaining basic food commodities.

Mounib shed light on a wide area of issues, which include soaring inflation, the absence of quality control, genetically modified seeds, carcinogenic fertilizers, and the government’s failure to address environmental pollution.

She accused the state “of engaging in a policy of running away from necessary reforms, including tax and financial reforms.”

Mounib also threw a spotlight on the issue of water scarcity, and the lack of water in some regions.
