Morocco’s security forces were able to dismantle a terrorist cell responsible for recruiting and sending Moroccan citizens to fight among the ranks of several rebel groups in Syria, reports The General Directorate of National Security in a statement.
The same source declared that the cell’s members collects donations from persons who sympathize with the Syrian people and opposition in order to cover the travel costs of the fighters.
The dismantled cell worked in cooperation with different rebel groups especially “Cham Islam Movement”, “the Nusra Front” and ” the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ” that are linked to al-Qaeda.
