Moroccan news outlet Aujourd’hui le Maroc conducted recently an interview with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Salaheddine Mezouar.

According to said source, Mezouar said that “Algeria should fully shoulder its responsibilities in searching for a solution similarly to its military, political and diplomatic involvement in the outbreak and persistence of the regional dispute over the Sahara.”

Mezouar stressed yet again that Algeria should “understand that the exercise by the Kingdom of its sovereignty in the Moroccan Sahara is irreversible”.

Morocco’s Foreign Minister reiterated “that the main party in this regional dispute is Algeria “as it is directly involvedĀ in the dispute through “generous and sustained financial, military and logistical support to the Polisario since the outbreak of the issue.”
