Few hours following the Boxing-ring-like fight between Hamid Chabat, the head of Al Istiqlal Party and the Mayor of the city of Fes, and Aziz Lebbar, the head of the Party of Authenticity and Modernity’s (PAM) House of Representative delegation, the PAM to relieved the latter from his duties.
The PAM issued a statement condemning “this irresponsible behavior.”
According to le360.ma, the PAM believes that the provocation Lebbar started in regards to Chabat, when he told him “You sold the city of Fes … You are a Thief…,” was all but innocent.
“Some people, whose hidden agenda is to torpedo the initiative to coordinate the action of the opposition parties in the parliament, planned this spat in advance,” the statement said.
On the other end, concerning Chabat, Le 360.ma said that it is highly probable that Hamid will keep his duties, “especially that he is the head of the Al Istiqlal party.”
It is worth pointing out that the fight triggered a media sensation in Morocco, especially among social media users.
