Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan monarch King Mohammed VI will pay Saudi Arabia an offcial visit starting from tomorrow, a statement from the Moroccan Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery said without elaborating further.
The visit is the first to the said country since the investiture of the new Saudi monarch Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Local newspapers in Morocco said that King Mohammed VI will also seize the opportunity to perform a Umrah.
Local outlets in Morocco said that the visit will mainly entail discussions about the current situation in the Middle East and North Africa, especially that of Yemen.
It is worth reminding that Morocco is part of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition that aimed at crippling the Houthis in Yemen to restore the legitimacy of ousted Yemeni president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
