Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-A statement from the Moroccan Centre for Human Rights said that a young Moroccan gendarme was taken to jail after he denounced rampant corruption in the Royal Gendarmerie, section of Khémiset, Morocco.

The young gendarme who goes by the name Osama G. was appalled at the sight of the huge extent his colleagues in Khemisset were corrupt, which lead him to record a video featuring some of them taking bribery, before submitting it to a superior officer in the regional headquarter.

In the post-gaze of the event, the young gendarme was accused of fraud and blackmail by his superiors, before being taken to jail,  where he is currently languishing, a statement from the Moroccan Centre for Human Rights said.

The young gendarme was also accused of insubordination, which will probably cost him his job as a result.
