Morocco’s OCP Organizes 3rd Edition of “International “Symposium on Innovation and Technology in the Phosphate Industry”

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A statement from Morocco’s Office Chérifien des Phosphate (OCP) s said that around 1,200 stakeholders will gather in Marrakesh in the wake of the 3rd edition of the International Symposium on Innovation and Technology in the Phosphate Industry (SYMPHOS), to take place from 18th to 20th of May 2015 under the theme “Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture“.

The 1200 participants, operating in the phosphate industry, come from five continents and will representing more than 45 countries. SYMPHOS 2015, a crossroads of exchange meetings between the key stakeholders of international phosphates and derivatives industry, is part of the continuation of the two previous editions, with more openness on innovation for sustainable agriculture. This particular edition will approach topics related to industrial processes, phosphate value chain, and fertilizers and the future.

OCP’s statement in the wake of the event said that SYMPHOS is “considered as an international reference in the sector, offers a platform for promoting diversification, modernization and development of the phosphate industry and the follow-up of the global agricultural development needs. Being a world leader in the phosphate industry and aware that innovation is the main driving force for a reasonable and sustainable exploitation of phosphate reserves, the OCP Group, through SYMPHOS, underlines its commitment to a sustainable and prosperous agriculture worldwide. By bringing together the phosphates world community to share their know-how, skills and experience, SYMPHOS has a noble objective: contributing to the emergence of the ideas of tomorrow in order to overcome the challenges to preserving soil and resource for a sustainable agriculture.”

“This symposium represents a real networking platform and offers the opportunity to meet all the professionals operating in the field of phosphates, with the presence of influential personalities from the mining and processing industry. All the stakeholders of the value chain will be represented including producers, consumers, traders, market analysts, engineers and technical experts. An exhibition space with hundreds of booths will also be proposed, bringing together the main companies of the sector who will present their products, services and innovations, etc.,” OCP’s statement further said.

“By organising Symphos 2015, the OCP Group reaffirms its leadership in the phosphate industry and its quest for the industrial excellence through a dynamic exchange of experience and skills and in partnership with all stakeholders of the field,” the statement closed.
