Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-The prefectural authorities of the Casablanca judicial police arrested three individuals, suspected of triggering the stampede that took place in the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca during what some Muslims believe to be the night of destiny.

One of the said three elements is a car guard working in the surrounding of the Hassan II mosque. According to an early investigation, the guard released a mouse in the wing reserved for women just before the prayer of Al Fajr.

The two other people are believed to have participated in the release of the mouse as they were aware of the guard’s mischief and did not let the authorities know about it, at least, after the event.

It is worth reminding that 81 people, mostly women, were injured as the release of the mouse scared many women and triggered a stampede during dawn time in the 27th of Ramadan.
