Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan authorities announced the nabbing of an ISIS sleeping cell today.

A statement from the Moroccan Ministry of Interior said that the Central Bureau of Judicial of Investigations (known by its french acronym BCIJ) dismantled today a terrorist composed of 4 people in Beni Mellal.

The statement further noted that an early investigation revealed that the 4 elements were working on “a dangerous terrorist plan to destabilize the security of the kingdom.”

The Moroccan authorities further stressed that the head of the sleeping cell was working “closely with the Moroccan fighters that have joined the “Islamic State””.

The sleeping terrorist cell was trying to get “logistical support from the terrorist organization ISIS to carry out bombings in Morocco,” the statement further added.

“The suspects will be brought to justice upon completion of the investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor,” concluded the statement of the Moroccan Ministry of Interior.
