Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The King’s attorney in the court of Salé ordered the arrest of four individuals, including two doctors, and placed them in preventive detention at the Al-Arjat 1 prison in the suburbs of Salé.

He also released five individuals, including a pharmacist, on bail, after being accused of drug-related crimes such as possession and trafficking of drugs, obtaining drugs without prescriptions, and participating in the fabrication of false medical certificates.

Both doctors, working in the private sector, were providing medical prescriptions to individuals who were not ill and then these individuals were reselling the prescribed medication to young people

The ring was dismantled when a suspect confessed that he was addicted to drugs and had obtained the medicine without a prescription from the pharmacy.

After that, another suspect admitted to purchasing and selling illegal drugs to young people with his partner. He confessed to receiving the prescription from the aforementioned unscrupulous doctors. The police seized a large quantity of drugs and drug-related paraphernalia from their possession.
