Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-Moroccan special forces assaulted yesterday night a dozen teacher trainees who were demonstrating in Kenitra, causing dozens of injuries, Moroccan news outlet Badil reported.

Images of the assault were shared on social media platforms among teacher trainees, illustrating the extent to which brutality was used in some cases.

According to Badil, the Kenitra Football Club Ultras joined the demonstration to support teacher trainees, adding more oil to fire.

The riot-police came initially to disperse the protestants, but used excessive force according to teacher trainees.

The confrontation occurred near the main student campus of Kenitra.

Another confrontation erupted between students residing in the aforementioned campus and the Ultras, and both clans started throwing rocks at each other, Badil further noted.
