Locust swarms are targeting Morocco’s southern regions

Agadir, Morocco (TMT)- The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Agricultural Chamber of the Souss Massa region, the National Anti-Locust Center, and other officials are collaborating to combat locusts in the Draa Valley and adjacent areas.

They will use airplanes to spray pesticides starting today.

The authorities communicated earlier with locals who are urged to take necessary precautions by evacuating the areas that will be sprayed and covering basins, wells, and water points.

The spraying will last for at least fifteen days.
