Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- While speaking to students of the High Institute of Journalism and Media during a conference held two days ago in Casablanca, the newly elected Secretary General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), Ilyas El Omary said that the “Mohammed VI radio channel broadcasts an extremist religious discourse.”

”As students, try to follow this channel and you’ll see by yourselves,” El Omari noted.

“Then you could write a report, with the help of your professors, and then share the results,” El Omari added.

“This radio was created to spread Morocco’s peaceful Islam, the Islam we export to various friendly African countries like the Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, France and others.”

“But little by little it started shifting from broadcasting a message of peace, to one of religious extremism,” El Omari stressed.
