Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- In the wake of the current visit to Spain payed by Morocco’s Minister of Interior Mohammed Hassad and Abdellatif Hammouchi, the head of the Moroccan secret services and advisor to King Mohammed VI on terrorism-related affairs, leading Spanish paper El Pais said that terrorism cooperation between Morocco and Spain lead to the arrest of 64 elements who gave allegiance to NISIS, the Non-Islamic State of Iraq and Syria terrorist organization.

Among the 64 arrested NISIS elements, El Pais further notes that 41 were snatched in Morocco, while 21 were nabbed in Spain.

Among others, El Pais, stressed that Morocco is considered by Spain to be “a crucial partner in the fight against terrorism.”

This crucial cooperation has lead in recent years to the strengthening of bilateral relations and security cooperation, to the point that exchanging security information between both countries has become “a routine job,” El Pais stressed.
