Marrakesh, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s football national team new coach Hervé Renard said in an interview given to Moroccan sport channel “Arriyadiya” that he did not choose to settle in Marrakesh to party and enjoy the red city’s nightclubs and night life, saying he is “very surprised” at the reports linking him to Marrakesh’s night life.

Quite the opposite to what was claimed by some local news outlets, Renard stressed, “I live a very quite life and I spend most of my time exercising and watching football games of national and international teams where Moroccan players evolve.”

“I picked Marrakesh as it located in a very strategic location that will enable me easily travel across Morocco to watch the national league football games,” Renard stressed.

The French coach jokingly added, “the Wydad and Raja Casablanca teams made my travels now easier when they decided to play their home games in Marrakesh.”
