Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan authorities arrested 13 university students residing in the Marrakesh university campus following violent clashes with riot police (check video above).
The clashes occurred last Thursday in front of said university campus.
Students say they turned violent and started throwing rocks at the riot police after they were blocked inside the campus and were not allowed to leave to join a march to protest the delay in receiving their monthly stipend.
13 students were arrested in the aftermath of the clashes and will be presented to court in the upcoming days.
One student and a riot police were injured following the clashes.
