Abu Dhabi, UAE (Seven Media)- HGTV is bringing its furniture design competition series, Ellen’s Design Challenge, to Morocco and wider MENA audiences this November when it launches on beIN.
Hosted by US TV star Ellen DeGeneres, the design series will put six furniture designers to the test to compete in various challenges designing and building amazing furniture in just 24 hours.
With a workshop, a lead carpenter, and all the tools they’ll need, audiences will watch as contestants are challenged to sketch, design and build extraordinary furniture in each episode.
Ellen, who also executive produces the series, will be joined each week by a panel of expert judges to eliminate the contestants one by one until one designer is left standing to win the coveted title and cash prize.
Speaking when the show went into production Ellen said: “I realized when I had my name on the show that I could change the rules, plus, I love furniture and I love television, so to put furniture on television is a win-win.
“I’m so excited about this show because I love finding really special pieces of furniture. I’m most excited about seeing the furniture and then stealing it for my home.”
HGTV, which will be aired exclusively on beIN, is ranked amongst the top seven cable networks in the U.S. and has been the top network for upscale women for ten years running.
The home and lifestyle channel will show the latest in design trends, and share expert home improvement advice to inspire viewers to undertake their own stunning transformations.

Ellen’s Design Challenge S1 will premiere in region on Saturday, November 5 at 8:45 PM KSA Time.
