Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Two very well respected titans of Morocco’s left met this morning in a local hospital in the kingdom’s industrial hub Casablanca and chatted for a couple of minutes.
The first is 91-year-old Mohamed Bensaïd Aït Idder, who paid 92-year-old former opposition leader Abderrahmane Youssoufi a visit as he is currently lying in a local hospital.
Both titans were seen jovially chatting, quipping from time to time.
Underneath is the translation of the small chat both leaders had.
Abderrahmane Youssoufi: Did you give that man [Omar Balafredj] the hat? [Omar Balafredj wore Aït Idder’s hat during the opening of the first session of the first legislative year of the tenth legislature]
Mohamed Bensaïd Aït Idder: Yes. I did.
Abderrahmane Youssoufi: (quipping): He needs it for politics.
Mohamed Bensaïd Aït Idder: He came to me and asked me “where is that hat?”, so I gave it to him.
Mohamed Bensaïd Aït Idder: How are you doing?
Abderrahmane Youssoufi: People say I am doing good, but I say I am not [doing well].
