Morocco invests DH 2 billion in health infrasturcture to combat COVID-19

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s Minister of Economy Mohamed Benchaaboun said that donations to Morocco’s coronavirus fund, aimed at combatting the virus in the north African kingdom, have reached, at the time of writing, a total of DH 32 billion.

Benchaaboun, who was speaking on the sidelines of a plenary session at the house of representatives in the parliament, further noted that DH 2 billion, from the aforementioned figure, was channeled to Morocco’s Ministry of Health to boost its health infrastructure.

This has allowed the Health Ministry to acquire 460 intensive care beds, 580 hospital beds, and 410 ventilators, said Benchaaboun.
