Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s head of the government Saadedine Othmani has been moved to tears when giving a speech in the House of Representatives of the Moroccan parliament yesterday, one where he briefed Moroccans about the pandemic situation across the country.

“When we receive the news of someone passing away due to the coronavirus, it is a sorrow for us,” Othmani said before he started sobbing.

On social media platforms, Moroccans were caught divided vis-à-vis Othmani’s emotional reaction.

A chunk called the man a double-faced politician, referring to the tears he shed as “crocodile’s tears,” while others, on the other hand, said it was a “sincere reaction, a pure moment of sympathy with the victims, whom he represents as the head of government of Morocco.”
