Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, announced that industrial products account for 86.8% of Moroccan exports.

Mezzour also stated that around 1600 industrial projects with a total investment of MAD 125 billion will see light in the next three years.

The above-mentioned number represents around 320,000 new job opportunities, according to the Minister.

Mezzour highlighted that investments in the industrial sector are mostly made by young entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, he reported that 100,000 net jobs have been created in the industrial sector since the beginning of the government’s mandate.

On a negative note, Maarouf stressed that the Ministry has exhausted its financial resources allocated to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial sector, and it has requested additional funding in a bet to sustain this dynamic that generates job opportunities in Morocco.
