Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- According to Professor Ahmed Aziz Bousfiha, 391 Moroccan kids contracted COVID-19, a tally that represents 9.2% of all COVID-19 infection cases recorded in Morocco.

Bousfiha, who gave an interview to Moroccan news agency La Map, noted that children aged between 10-14 years represent 50% of the aforementioned figure, while those between 5-10 represent 25% of the above-stated tally.

Bousfiha also said that the remaining 25% are of very young children, those aged less than 5 years.

Bousfiha noted that only one case of death was posted, that of a 17 months-old baby in Oujda.

Bousfiha also affirmed that the infection rate among children increases with age and that most children contact the secret killer indirectly when touching contaminated substances and items.
