Frankfurt, Germany(TMT)- The German authorities said they will start another round of repatriation flights to bring more German citizens stranded in Morocco to their homeland.

EU citizens including Moroccans who hold a german resident permit will also be repatriated if requested.

Said citizens were left stranded in Morocco following the kingdom’s decision to shut down its borders amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The German embassy in Rabat said it has prepared a list with the names of all those who fulfill the aforementioned conditions, those who requested to be repatriated.

The embassy also said it will prioritize citizens who have health issues, among others.

The embassy noted that repatriation flights are coordinated with the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is Germany’s second round of repatriation flights.

The first one took place in mid-March.
