Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan provinces of Ifrane and Moulay Yaacoub, all belonging to the Fes-Meknes region, did not register any further COVID-19 cases, according to a tally shared by the Moroccan authorities yesterday.

Also, all COVID-19 patients in the two aforementioned provinces have fully recovered from the novel coronavirus.

While infection cases in the Meknes and Fes provinces of the same region have spiked, following the authorities discovering clusters of infections, the Ifrane and Moulay Yaacoub provinces are deemed now “COVID-19 free.”

The authorities will wait a couple of days to better monitor the pandemic situation before taking any decision.

It is not clear yet whether they will relax the nationwide curfew measures in the aforementioned 2 provinces, in case no infections are detected in the upcoming days.
