Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said in a statement that the pandemic situation in seven regions from Morocco’s twelve ones augurs well for the relaxation of the measures in the upcoming few days.
The Moroccan Ministry of Health said 3 regions, namely Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, and Oriental did not report any new cases in the last couple of days, meaning the infection rate in the aforementioned regions stands now at 0%.
It also said that 4 other regions are controlling the pandemic situation. The list includes Beni Mellal Khenifra, Draa-Tafilalet, Souss-Massa, and Guelmim-Oued Noun. The infection rate in said regions is around 0.5%.
The health authorities stressed that the infection rate nationally hovers around 1.1%, further noting that their aim is to post a 0.7% infection rate before taking any decision on the national level.
