Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (well-known under its French acronym BCIJ), in coordination with local police, has arrested today 13 individuals affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 49, were apprehended in various cities throughout the country. The investigation revealed that some of the suspects were planning to carry out terrorist attacks targeting vital national facilities, while others were planning individual terrorist operations.

The search of the suspects’ homes resulted in the seizure of digital equipment, publications containing extremist sermons, and documents inciting violence and suicide operations.

The investigation also found that some of the suspects had established suspicious relationships with terrorist groups outside Morocco, particularly in the Sahel and Sahara region.

The suspects are currently in custody. A detailed investigation with all 13 members will follow.
