Casablanca, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan authorities have disrupted a gay party and arrested 80 individuals in a villa located in the Ouled Salah community (Nouaceur) on the outskirts of Casablanca.

The Royal Gendarmerie became aware of the party after receiving a complaint about loud music and noise emanating from the villa.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Gendarmerie led an investigation into the source of the noise, and additional reinforcements were called in after the public prosecutor’s office was contacted. The Gendarmerie subsequently arrested all those present at the villa, including the party organizer and assistants, and confiscated quantities of alcoholic beverages and drugs.

The event was promoted on Instagram for a fee of 250 dirhams per person, according to sources.

Following interrogation, the party organizer and assistants were taken into custody, and the villa owner was summoned for questioning.

The case is expected to be referred to the public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.
