Laayoune, Morocco (TMT)- The anti-gang squad in the city of Laayoune has arrested two individuals inside a workshop used for manufacturing rubber dinghies used in illegal immigration operations to the Canary Islands, Spain.
During the search conducted inside the workshop, tools, equipment, and raw materials used in this criminal activity were seized.
Early investigation revealed that one of them was the subject of various search warrants issued by the Moroccan gendarmerie.
The suspects are currently being investigated in coordination with the public prosecutor’s office to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to arrest the other alleged accomplices in this criminal activity.
