Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s preparation for the 2025 African Cup of Nations entails renovation and repair works on six of its stadiums to meet the international standards required for hosting major sporting events.

The evaluation process was initiated by a mixed committee representing a Germany-based Bureau, which assessed the country’s stadiums and provided critical observations to guide the repair process.

The deadline for the completion of the restoration process is set for late January 2025.

The six venues earmarked for restoration are the Mohammed V complex of Casablanca, the Grand Fez Stadium, as well as the stadiums in Tangier, Agadir, Rabat, and Marrakesh.

The Royal Football Federation of Morocco will be in charge of the project, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and Sports.

The objective is to bring the six stadiums up to the required standard for hosting major sports events.
