Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A group of Moroccan expatriates living in the United States and Canada have launched a petition seeking a decrease in airfare prices to Morocco.
The petition, signed by approximately 10,000 Moroccan expats residing in the US and Canada, claims that the cost of air travel has skyrocketed to an unaffordable level, making it difficult for families with children to travel.
The petition implores King Mohammed VI to intervene and address the high cost of air travel, which is hindering expatriates from visiting their families and maintaining strong ties with their loved ones in Morocco.
The expats said in the online petition that they express deep affection for their homeland and their families.
They further noted that they are hopeful that King Mohammed VI, who they trust to be attentive to their needs, will intervene to find a solution to this dilemma. The petition highlights the expatriate community’s unwavering faith in the king’s commitment to their welfare and well-being.
