Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- In a bet to curb the rising brain drain of healthcare professionals witnessed in Morocco, the government seeks to employ 93,954 healthcare specialists by 2025.

Mustapha Baitas, the government’s spokesperson, revealed this yesterday in a press conference amid the government council meeting, noting that “the aim is to reach a rate of 24.9 specialized professionals per 10,000 people.”

“The number of graduating doctors in public colleges will reach 12,709 doctors and 3,881 from private colleges by 2025,” stressed Baitas.

Baitas also noted that “the government aims to register 22,139 new students in medical, pharmaceutical, and dental colleges,” for the upcoming academic year.
