Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Appeals Court in Rabat postponed yesterday the trial of 19 teachers who belong to the “National Coordination of Teachers Forced into Contractual Employment” until May 22.

The 20 teachers are being charged with “unauthorized unarmed gathering,” “violating the state of a health emergency,” “harming public security forces while performing their duties,” and “insulting public officials with the intent to harm their honor and disrespect their authority.”

It is worth mentioning that the lower court has already issued prison sentences ranging from two-month suspended prison for 18 teachers. The last one, a woman, received a three-month prison sentence.
