Small Egg Merchants Struggle Amid Moroccan Consumers Boycott

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Various Moroccan egg producers have deliberately decreased their production levels to keep egg prices high, amid a growing national boycott due to their high cost.

As a result, small egg merchants are struggling, with some facing bankruptcy as consumers avoid purchasing eggs, hoping the boycott will drive the prices to go down.

The price of a single egg has more than doubled recently.

Experts predict that egg prices will not decrease anytime soon and that the boycott is expected to fail, forcing many small merchants into bankruptcy.
