Casablanca, Morocco (TMT)- The Algerian army conducted this week a live ammunition exercise in the Bechar region near the Moroccan border, which was supervised by the Algerian Chief of Staff.
Units of the 40th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, supported by various forces, carried out the exercise. This activity is part of a recent trend of provocative military maneuvers near the Moroccan border amid political tension and military escalation in the region.
The “Béchar Exercise” took place two weeks before the “African Lion 2023” military exercise, organized by the United States and Morocco in several regions of the kingdom.
