Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The judicial center of the Royal Gendarmerie in Sidi Kacem recently referred four individuals to the Attorney General of the Court of Appeal in Safi, Morocco.
The individuals are accused of kidnapping, sexually assaulting, and holding a young woman captive.
The members of the gang, one of whom is a minor, attacked the victim’s house in the community of Sidi Kaouki.
They assaulted her family with knives, resulting in her father’s injury, before abducting the 20-year-old woman by force and driving her away on a motorcycle.
The gang then took her to an abandoned house, where they held her overnight and sexually assaulted her while wearing masks to conceal their identities.
They released her the next morning, leaving her in a deplorable state.
The victim managed to recognize the voices of her attackers, which helped the authorities in their investigation.
Under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office and in coordination with the judicial center of Sidi Kacem, the Royal Gendarmerie conducted a search operation that resulted in the arrest of the members of the gang, one by one.
The victim was then able to identify the criminals.
The investigation was relatively-easy since all four criminals were arrested and interrogated separately, each narrating a somewhat different version.
After confronting them, they confessed to the crimes.
