Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-The political party led by Morocco’s Prime Minister has voiced its criticism of the monetary policy implemented by the central bank of Morocco.

The “National Rally of Independents” party has stated that the monetary policy, elaborated by Morocco’s central bank, has been ineffective in curbing inflation, and as a result, “it should be held accountable and its impact on the national economy needs to be understood.”

The party’s criticism was expressed by Mohamed Chouki, a parliamentary member of the said party, in the House of Representatives.

Chouki is also Chairman of the Finance and Economic Development Committee in the Moroccan parliament.
