Benchaaboun Highlights Roadmap and challenges for Morocco’s Chemistry Industry

RABAT- The Director General of the Mohammed VI Investment Fund, Mohammed Benchaaboun, emphasized the key role of major corporations, both public and private, in accelerating the development of the chemical industry in Morocco.

Speaking during the opening of the First International Chemistry Forum in Rabat yesterday, Benchaaboun outlined five major areas of focus: competitiveness, internationalization, vertical integration, research and development, and transitioning to green chemistry.

He also highlighted the challenges the industry faces, including adopting sustainable practices, reducing carbon footprints, waste minimization, digitization, regulatory frameworks, and strengthening partnerships.
