Rabat, Morocco – The German automotive electronics specialist, Bertrandt Group, has broadened its international reach with the inauguration of a new factory in Morocco – its first venture on the African continent. Positioned strategically in the Technopolis Rabat Shore Park in Sala Al Jadida, the factory initially aims to cater to the local market. The future plan includes expanding its reach to North Africa and potentially Europe, capitalizing on its geographic closeness to the latter.

Bertrandt’s new site in Rabat is planned to concentrate on electronic systems, product development, and industrialization services, thus making it a significant part of the company’s global development network. Alongside this, Bertrandt is seeking to collaborate with Moroccan universities to boost its workforce, with a goal to employ over 500 people within five years. The group, currently boasting nearly 13,000 employees across 50 sites worldwide, operates not only in the automotive industry but also offers solutions for the aerospace and mechanical engineering sectors, with a focus on digitization, e-mobility, and autonomous systems.
