In a recent survey conducted by the Moroccan Center for Citizenship, a staggering 87.8% of Moroccans believe that the results of the country’s “Green Plan” do not justify public expenditure.

Further, 83.7% of respondents doubt the plan’s ability to enhance national food security, while 93.9% perceive large-scale farmers as the primary beneficiaries.

The survey, which took place from the 3rd to the 31st of March this year, saw the participation of 4,864 Moroccans in a general poll run on Facebook. A further 13,780 took part by answering and checking either the “satisfied” or “not satisfied” options, with the possibility to comment on the choice. Over 70% of the participants choose the “not satisfied” option.

The Moroccan Center for Citizenship, established on April 11, 2021, aims to engage citizens in tracking and evaluating public policies.
