Rabat – The Governor of Rabat, “Mohammed Al-Yaakoubi,” has issued directives to initiate the demolition process of the illegally extended parts of numerous villas along the beachfront, stretching from Harhoura to Skhirat. These illicit expansions have been infringing upon vast stretches of the state-owned maritime public domain.
The same sources clarified that the decision came following a widespread demolition operation that targeted, weeks ago, thousands of tin houses within the territory of Skhirat-Temara province, where it is expected that the authorities will commence a similar demolition operation to dismantle all unlawful extensions of villas that are blatantly encroaching on substantial parts of the maritime public domain.
