Israel and Morocco have agreed to facilitate the migration of Moroccan workers, particularly in the fields of nursing and construction, to Israel.

This agreement comes despite a severe nursing shortage in Morocco, exacerbated by a brain drain to Canada, Europe, and various Middle Eastern countries.

The agreement was reached by Moroccan Interior Minister, Abdelouafi Laftit, and Israeli Minister of Interior and Health, Moshe Arbel, currently on a visit to Morocco.

The officials also discussed easing visa regulations, in light of the projected 200,000 Israeli tourists to Morocco this year.

Plans to increase tourism, business travel, and direct flights, along with cooperation between local authorities and twin cities, were also discussed.
