Ahmed Reda El Chami, the head of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council, highlighted a significant issue facing Morocco: 1.5 million young people aged between 15 and 24 are not in education or vocational training and are disengaged from the job market—not actively seeking employment.

This situation escalates to 4.5 million individuals when considering those up to 34 years old.

El Chami emphasized the alarming nature of these statistics during a conference yesterday in Rabat.

He underscored the precariousness of these young individuals who, detached from both the job and education systems, represent a growing socio-economic challenge for Morocco.
