The Moroccan Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training, Lahcen Daoudi announced Tuesday on the sidelines the “Moroccan Agency Press Forum,” which he attended as an honorary guest, that “university professors are now obliged to master the English language, as it is the international language of science and excellence.”
The Moroccan Minister of Education went on further to say that “a circular (image underneath) to this effect was sent this week to the concerned departments and universities so that starting from next January 2015, all professors and students enrolled in specific science-related subjects will be required to master the English language.”
English will bolster innovation and the development of scientific research, deemed as the great challenge that Morocco needs to step up in, the Moroccan Minister said.
It is worth reminding that Daoudi has stated few months ago that “anyone who does not master English, has no future’’.
