According to a story shared on the Moroccan daily Al Akhbar this morning, “Moroccans consume over 5 billion viagra pills per year, a thriving business that generates gains estimated at 140 million dirhams.”
The aforementioned Arabic-based daily conducted a survey “on the market of medication that improves sexual activity in Morocco.”
It said that “1.7 million boxes of viagra were sold in 2009, to reach almost 2 million ones in 2010, before netting 3 million boxes in 2014.”
According to the daily, Moroccans are “increasingly using the aforementioned sexual drugs, and they have consumed over 5 billion viagra pills in 2014.”
“This market is very important now for pharmaceutical companies and Moroccan pharmacies,” the daily said.
“Net revenues earned from such products are of the order of DH140 million per year,” Al Akhbar further noted.
