Session of the House of Representatives in the Moroccan Parliament.

EDITOR’S NOTE: This post has been corrected. The meeting was postponed to the 12th. It was indeed held on the 12th instead of the 11th.

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The committees of Foreign Affairs of the house of representatives and the house of councilors of the Moroccan parliament will be meeting Saturday to answer Ban Ki Moon’s, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “occupation of Sahara,” comments.

The meeting will take place tomorrow and will witness the presence of the heads of Morocco’s two houses.

It is worth reminding that parliamentarians of the house of representatives and the house of councilors cannot normally gather for a joint meeting, unless there is an issue or concern of importance to Morocco’s sovereignty, among others, as stipulate article 68 of the Moroccan constitution.

This is the case with Ban Ki Moon’s recent statements that do indeed undermine the kingdom’s sovereignty.
