Rabat, Morocco(TMT)- The Spanish Civil Guard, in cooperation with the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie, arrested 20 drug smugglers, members of a gang that smuggled hashish from Morocco to southern Spain using helicopters.

The drug gang is headed by a Moroccan, with the whole ring including various nationalities.

The gang smuggled hashish from Morocco’s north directly into southern Spain, flying at low altitude to avoid being detected by radars.

The Spanish police seized 1500 kilos of hashish, two helicopters, one lorry, a hashish plantation, high-technology electronic devices, 220.000 euros, including other things, as part of the operation.
