Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Abdellilah Benkirane, the secretary general of the PJD party, received the news of his sacking with a calm stance, saying he is accepting King Mohammed VI’s decision to replace him by another head of government, amid 5 months of stalled negotiations.
A little bird in the PJD told Reuters, relaying from Benkirane, that King Mohammed VI’s decision is constitutional.
“This is our king and he came to a decision under the framework of the constitution, which I’ve always expressed support for,” he told Reuters.
“I’m going to perform ablution, pray, and continue working on the ground.”
