Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- On the sidelines of King Mohammed VI relieving Abedellilah Benkirane from his duties as head of government in charge of forming a government coalition, Hassan Tariq, political leader of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, said in a Facebook post that Benkirane will be remembered as “a great national leader.”
“History will remember Benkirane as a great national leader, one that defended the honor of the prime ministerial institution, his electoral legitimacy, and the decisions of an independent political party,” Tariq said.
“It was easy to be like the others, but Benkirane choose to be the pride of the people,” Tariq stressed.
